We Engineer and Manufacture Fasteners to Your Exact Standards—iso/din/asme. From Cad/cam and Material Sourcing to Heat Treatment, Coatings, Qc Certificates, Custom Packaging and Global Logistics, We Run the Whole Line So You Get Precision, Speed and Peace of Mind.
Cold forging, also called cold heading, is the process behind most of the bolts, screws, pins and rivets used in industry today. Steel wire is cut to length and pressed through a series of dies at room temperature until the blank takes the exact shape of the finished part. At Tav Sanat Andishe Sharq, cold forging is the first choice for high-volume fasteners because it combines speed, accuracy and strength in a single operation.
Because the metal is never heated, the part keeps tight dimensional tolerances and a smooth, clean surface straight from the machine. The grain of the steel follows the outline of the head and shank instead of being cut through, as it would be in machining, and the work hardening that takes place during forming raises the strength of the finished fastener. The result is a part that is stronger, more consistent and ready for threading, heat treatment or coating with little or no further finishing.
Cold forging also makes very efficient use of raw material. The blank is displaced rather than cut away, so almost none of the wire is lost as scrap. This keeps the cost of each piece low on large orders and reduces waste across the whole production line, which matters for both price and sustainability.
Our multi-station headers form hex, socket, flange, countersunk and special head shapes, as well as stepped shanks and collars, in a single continuous cycle. Wire is selected and checked before production, dies are maintained to strict schedules, and dimensions are measured at regular intervals so that every batch matches the drawing and the standard it is built to.
Cold-forged parts from Tav Sanat Andishe Sharq are produced to ISO, DIN, ANSI and ASME standards and to customer drawings. Typical applications include structural and automotive bolts, machine screws, pins and rivets, and custom parts that need high strength at a competitive price.
For parts that are too large, too complex or made of alloys that cannot be shaped at room temperature, our engineering team recommends hot forging or machining instead, so each part is made by the process that suits it best.
